Why do you need to calibrate Atomos screen color?

Every monitor in the field and the editing suite naturally drifts in color over time. Atomos monitor screen color calibration is highly recommended to ensure accurate color representation on Atomos display devices. This allows you to have the confidence to trust what you see on the display.

Calibrating a monitor screen periodically is essential to ensure accurate color reproduction. Over time, monitors can drift in color accuracy due to various factors, such as aging components, environmental conditions, or prolonged use. Without calibration, the colors displayed on the screen may appear different from the source, leading to inaccurate color representation. Regular calibration helps maintain consistent colors, especially important for tasks where precise color matching is crucial, such as photo editing, video production, and graphic design. This process adjusts the monitor settings to match standard color profiles, ensuring uniformity and reliability across devices.

Atomos monitors are all high-quality screens that are calibrated in the factory prior to shipment. Like all monitors, however, they will exhibit color drift over time, and for that reason, like other premium monitors, users have to calibrate the screen after purchase. This should also be done periodically to get an accurate color.

It is recommended to have it done at least twice a year.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU CALIBRATE ATOMOS DEVICES?

Performing regular calibration is recommended to ensure that your Atomos device is displaying an accurate image. Calibration of your Atomos devices should be performed once a month to ensure that your colors stay consistent.

How much is the calibration fees?

We charge a one time Flat fee of SGD 49/= for 2 services within a year

However, if the Atomos product was purchased from us, we offered free for 2 x services within 2 years from the date of purchase

Where to Get Atomos Monitor Screen Color Calibrated and Procedure to Carry it Out

Following is our Calibration procedure.

• Step 1. Secure an appointment with us and or email: [email protected]
• Step 2. Get ready for your working Atomos monitor plus its power supply and battery.
• Step 3. Make sure it is a working set before making the appointment. Lance port must not be defective or else we can not connect it to the calibrator to work. Power up your unit using your battery; make sure your battery can power up the unit for at least 1 hour. Ideally, when you reach our store, the unit has been powered up for at least 30 minutes. ( do not turn off the power; pass it to us in power-up mode for at least 30 minutes.)
• Step 4. Visit our store to have the calibration done – It takes approximately 5- to 10 minutes. This can be done only in our store. However, the unit must be powered up for approximately 30 minutes before calibration can be done. Thus, please do not turn off the Monitor till calibration is completed
• Step 5. Calibrate the screen and pay us Via Paynow or Cash

If the Atomos monitor/recorder was purchased from us, we offered 2x services for free within 2 years from the date of purchase.
