Panasonic AG-UX90 4K Memory Card Camera Recorder
Panasonic AG-UX90 will be a revolution of what is currently available on the market, coming with amazing features that will enhance the video recording experience and the quality of outputs. The camcorder features a UHD 4K recording of up to 30 frames per second (fps). Panasonic AG-UX90 4K Camcorder has a magnificent optical zoom capability of up to 15x which will make it a great fit for different applications.
Panasonic AG-UX90 is being released as a successor to the previous AVCCAM handheld camcorders, which are HD and recorded in different formats, including AVCHD. It comes with added features such as the ability to record on SD cards for both Full 4K and UHD. The HD recording comes with a variable frame rate to allow for the application of the camera in different conditions.
Features
Single Large Chip
Panasonic AG-UX90 will be based on one large chip as opposed to previous models, which were based on a unit of three chips with 1/3-inch sensors for conventional HD imaging. The main idea behind this is that the single-chip model has been found to be more suitable for 4K recording. It also enhances the camcorder’s performance in low-light areas as well as allowing for creativity and control of the depth of field. The approach has been successfully used by other manufacturers in the market such as Canon (XC10) and Sony (PXW-X70).
Heavy-duty design
The Panasonic AG-UX90 is said to feature a rugged design that will make it more suitable for outdoor use. The demand for Full 4K recording camcorders is increasing in the market, and video professionals are becoming more choosy regarding design. What most videographers need is something that will deliver high-quality outdoor shooting while sustaining the roughness field shooting is synonymous with.
The Panasonic AG-UX90 4K Camcorder guarantees high mobility, which is popular with existing professional Panasonic integrated-lens handheld cameras.
High-Quality Recording
The UX90 will feature recording support of up to 4K (24p, 4096×2160), FHD of up to 120p, and UHD (3840×2160). The camcorder will have an SD card slot and will use inserted SD cards as the recording media. It will support up to 1TB HDD, and this will allow for longer continuous recording, which is important, especially when covering historical events or out for field work with no expandable memory.
The AG-UX90 will come with a 1-inch type MOS sensor that will ensure the camcorder’s sensitivity is equivalent to what previous handheld cameras delivered. It will support a Variable Frame Rate (VFR) functionality of between 2 to 60 fps which will be run in FHD mode.
Compatible
Panasonic has announced that Panasonic AG-UX90 4K Handheld will provide footage that will be applicable with material shot on the 4/3-inch sensor DVX200 and with the new Varicam range.

We have tested the camera in Expandore showroom and were surprised by the good low light performance. Overall, it’s a camera packed with features and represents a very good value for money. For less than US$ 2K, the camera comes with 1″ sensor, 15x optical zoom, 30p UHD recording, XLR Audio and most importantly it produces good quality image!

Panasonic Singapore today was having the UX Series Product Launch at its Bedok South plant. The 2 products were premium model, AG-UX180 and the more affordable standard model, AG-UX90. The specifications and details of the two models were announced to us and that including the list price and the stock availability. That has marked a new milestone for all 4K recording as an entry level for Premium UX Series Video Production.
The UX Series camcorders delivers a magnificent 4K performance with astonishing features including a breakthrough designed Leica Dicomar 4K compact lens with a industry’s widest angle, i.e. the wide 24mm angle (4K 24p, 17:9). for an integrated lens camcorder.
The premium AG-UX180 features a high-powered 20x optical zoom which covers the range from 24 mm at the wide-angle to the telescopic end of 480 mm.
A 1.0-type (effective size) MOS sensor is incorporated in both models to provide them with the same level of sensitivity as other conventional handheld camcorders. It also supports the extensive and easy-to-use MOV (QuickTime), MP4 and AVCHD file formats.
The Expanded O.I.S in the UX Series features a very Intelligent Auto Focus for easy operation and high reliability that has made 4K shooting much easier than before.
The camcorder’s two SD card slots enable seamless relay recording by simply changing SD memory cards and allow recording at the same time.
The four lens groups could be driven on its own at the same time by the lens system. The lens size and drive range for each of the four groups can be efficiently suppressed to produce quality image and max up its zoom power.
There is a 3.5-type LCD monitor embedded inside the camcorders’ handle section, ready to be pulled out and rotated at 270 degrees vertically for easier viewing at high-angle or low angle.
