Sony PMW-500 is a three 2/3″ Power HAD FX CCD sensors XDCAM HD422 camcorder recording full HD (plus SD option). Sony PMW-500 is the first HD422 XDCAM Camcorder that supports full HD422 50 Mbps MXF recording and playback. As well as, PMW-500 is able to record in HD 420 35-Mbps MP4 format which provides seamless integration when using XDCAM EX models. PMW-500 provides very good picture quality and low-light performance with its 2/3 inch type three Power HAD FX sensors. PMW-500 can record in a solid-state SxS recorder rather than an optical professional optical disc drive.
