The SonyPXW-Z200 handheld camera features a large 1.0-type Exmor RS CMOS sensor with approximately 14.0 effective megapixels, ensuring that you capture detailed and vibrant 4K footage. The stacked architecture of this sensor allows for faster readout speeds and enhanced low-light sensitivity. Its back-illuminated pixel structure maximizes light absorption, making it ideal for filming in challenging lighting environments. BIONZ XR Image Processing Engine

The integrated BIONZ XR image processor enhances the camera’s performance by improving autofocus speed, real-time tracking, and noise reduction. 4K and FHD High Frame Rate Recording

Capture stunning slow-motion footage with the PXW-Z200’s high-frame-rate capabilities. The PXW-Z200HD camera can record 4K video at 1120 fps and Full HD at 2240 fps producing beautiful slow-motion effects. As well the Sony PXW-Z200 can achieve up to 5x slow motion at 24p or 4x slow motion at 30p, allowing for more creative control over your shots.

Versatile 20x Optical Zoom with Clear Image Zoom

The 20x power zoom G lens of the Z200covers a wide focal range from 24mm to 480mm (35mm equivalent), perfect for both wide-angle and telephoto shots. Sony’s Clear Image Zoom technology extends this range to 30x zoom in 4K and 40x zoom in Full HD. With smooth, silent zoom control, this lens ensures professional results across various shooting scenarios.

Advanced Image Stabilization

The PXWZ200 camera also supports proxy recording, allowing for easier editing and previewing. Broadcast-friendly MXF wrapping will be available with a firmware update in Z200, ensuring compatibility with professional workflows.

12G-SDI Connectivity for Broadcast Workflows

The PXW-Z200 AI Handheld Camera has built-in 12G-SDI connectivity, offering four times the bandwidth of traditional 3G-SDI. It helps to bring high-quality video transmission over a single cable, making it perfect for broadcast professionals at the same time. It also supports timecode input/output and XAVC MXF recording for seamless integration into existing broadcast workflows.

Built-in Wi-Fi and Remote Control Capabilities

With twin-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, the PXW-Z200 offers wireless connectivity for remote monitoring and control. The PXW-Z200 Camera works well with Sony’s Monitor & Control app and and allows you to adjust focus, iris, and other visual settings from your smartphone or tablet too. It is specifically designed and more helpful to single-camera operators or multi-camera setup environments. It also supports live streaming through RTMP, RTMPS, and SRT protocols; together, it provides convenient and reliable live streaming options to the users.

Dual Memory Card Slots for Flexible Storage

The PXW-Z200 features two memory card slots that support both CFexpress Type A and SD cards. This allows for simultaneous recording on two cards for backup or relay recording for extended shooting sessions. The dual-slot design ensures reliable storage and greater flexibility in managing your footage.

Robust Battery Life and Cooling System

The PXW-Z200 AI Camera is powered by Sony’s BP-U series lithium-ion batteries and provides approximately 90 minutes of continuous operation with the BP-U35. Built-in cooling fans and vents in the camera help to keep it flawless, mainly during extended shooting sessions. The interchangeable battery system works well with other Sony cameras and maintains workflow consistency over different projects.

Flexible Camera Controls and User-Assignable Buttons

The Sony PXW-Z200 offers customizable control options to meet individual workflow preferences. Two independent control rings in the camera allow for correct adjustment of focus and zoom, while side-by-side dials provide quick access to IRIS and ND Variable settings. With 12 user-assignable buttons in the camera, you can make the camera’s functionality as per your shooting needs, making it easier to control key features during live production.

PXW-Z200 is designed for live-streaming

Stream directly to compatible live streaming services and video-sharing sites via a hard-wired or Wi-Fi connection. RTMP, RTMPS, or SRT protocols make it easy for a single operator to efficiently manage everything from recording to distribution. Additional apps and technologies allow you to do even more:
