Azden MC-1PH Compact Microphone Adapter with Phantom Power Supply

Azden MC-1PH is an adapter that lets you connect two separate mono audio sources to a DSLR or video camera’s 3.5 mm stereo microphone input jack. Each audio source will be sent separately to the camera’s left and right channels. You can combine any two mono microphones, such as an on-camera video mic, lavalier mic, wireless mic or handheld mic, or shotgun mic, and include their sounds in your recording.

MC-1PH has added a new ability to use the phantom-powered microphones via an external power source, which was not in MC-1.

Designed for Ease of Use and Functionality

MC-1PH was designed for run-and-gun shooters, in particular, YouTubers and small groups, and it features a unique design that is to be mounted on a cage or handle, not only on a camera.

Each of the 6 panels of the CUBE includes appropriately placed features and functions, such as microphone input jacks, an output jack, volume controls, and female and male cold shoe adapters. Both the cold shoe and shoe adapters are removable.

Flexibility to Fit Your Shooting Style

Cold shoe and shoe adapter with 1/4”-20 threaded hole can be changed in the mounting position.

Those adapters can be freely mounted on the 3 panels to fit the shooting styles of your choice.

Phantom Power Supply via External Power Source

By connecting to an external power source, the MC-1PH can supply phantom power to the XLR connector on the Right channel. This enables you to use phantom-powered microphones, and you will have many possible microphone combinations to fit your shooting style.

Easy Audio Level Control

For the Left channel, the MC-1PH features a 3.5 mm mini-jack. And for the Right channel, there are a 3.5 mm mini-jack and a 3-pin XLR female connector, either of which can be used depending on the microphone of your choice. The audio volume can be easily controlled by turning the Left and Right volume control dials

No Batteries Required

MC-1PH requires no batteries or other power sources to operate. You will never have to worry about running out of power. For microphones that require plug-in power in order to operate, MC-1PH will automatically pass the bias voltage sent from the camera’s microphone input.

Shoe Adapter with 1/4”-20 Threaded Hole for Tripod or Boom Poles

In addition to the cold shoe, a shoe adapter with a 1/4”-20 threaded hole has been adopted to be attached to the tripods or boom poles and other camera accessories.
